Best Out of Waste - Dustbin making

So,
Our second activity was more of a experiment.
We had 3 groups and we all made dustbins to hang on trees. 1 group quit out cause there was no coordination. Well the rest of us thoughtfully made it. We divided it and separated the waste. Though we didn't exactly put it out yet (ya we will post that later). The dustbins we made were quite creative. No new bought materials were used.
This was group 1's dustbins. Ya they tried to make it all colorful so you would not end up walking past it.

Ya that was their interior. Ya I guess we ended up using it.

Group 2 they used all kinds of containers for this one cardboard box. Look at the divisions

Now it's your turn-

Paper making

Hey,
We are ready for presenting our first activity.
That is we shall be making paper out of newspaper.
So what do we need?
  • Old news paper (we will need lots and lots, but c'mon )
  • Water in a bucket only halfway full
  • Man Power
  • Paint if you want colorful paper (paint which you cant use anymore not useful things, we are about saving the environment so please stick to that.)
  • mug
  • bucket
Note to self: Start project a bit before you need it cause it ill take at least three days to make. I'm telling you last minute projects are not gonna work.

Now we have things, so??
  1. Shred, (no, not with your paper shredder...what do you think I typed MAN POWER for) the paper into small pieces.
  2. For colorful paper throw in the paint.
  3. Keep that in the bucket for at least two - four hours.
  4. After that time (Keep it till that time gets over...no shortcuts). We need another bucket we needd to strain it. That  is with a muslin cloth. Place the muslin cloth over the bucket tight
  5. Pour a mug of the paper water paint....whatever mix on the cloth. Now, just press it lightly til most of the water has fallen in the bucket.
  6. Now squeeze it. Wrap the cloth around that amount of paper and squeeze it.
  7. Repeat till all the paper is strained.
  8. Then pour a bit of that water back in just enough to make the strained paper wet that is only mushy no more otherwise you will have to strain it AGAIN.
  9. Now beat or churn the pulp for a half hour. (MANPOWER)
  10. Leave it for a night
  11. Next afternoon, pat it quite thin do this on a news paper or you can revisit steps 1-9.
  12. Pat it as this as regular paper and leave to dry for about 1 or 2 days.
  13. BOOM paper
Here we have some pictures  from our routine...

Us the Earthlings!!

Better Environment Better Tomorrow

Aim

Our aim is to spread awareness for a better tomorrow. We want everybody to work toward the change we want to see. The hard work will always be worth so please don't throw that trash on the road. Pick it up and prove you are better than them.

What we do

We recycle. That is two words to express what we do. We recycle old newspapers to make usable white or colorful paper. We take that bundle of dry waste from our houses and make things .We want to make sure that all that waste which is about to go to the dump and add to the global warming and pollution which we already face is used to its full potential. What we will do is inform the new activities to you and you can do them and send pictures of them to email ID given below. Now, your question might be 'So, how can I help' well you can add us on Google +. And stay in touch with the activities we do. Send us pictures of what you have done to change our ever falling environment.

We have high expectations for our club
